What a PNC export looks like

PNC CSVs typically include the columns Date, Description, Withdrawals, Deposits and Balance. Withdrawals and Deposits are separate columns, not one signed amount. (Tiller PNC export guide)

This is the only public source I could reach for PNC, and it does not state the exact header text, date format or any summary rows. The sample uses made-up rows. If your file differs, change the column dropdowns. Not affiliated with PNC.

How it maps to YNAB

PNC puts money out and money in in separate columns. Your original already has separate money-out and money-in columns, which suits YNAB. StatementSnap tidies them into Outflow and Inflow.

Dates in the converted file: MM/DD/YYYY. YNAB's help page does not state a required date format, and its import screen lets you check how the date was read.

Import into YNAB

Open the budget on a computer and drag the converted file onto YNAB, anywhere in the app.
In the Import Transactions window, check that YNAB matched Date, Payee, Memo, Outflow and Inflow to the right columns. Use the dropdowns if not.
If inflows and outflows are reversed, use "Swap Inflow and Outflow".
Review the preview, then import.

Questions about PNC and YNAB

Do I need to rename columns for YNAB? No. The converted file already uses Date, Payee, Memo, Outflow and Inflow, and YNAB shows a mapping step in case you want to adjust it.

Is my file sent anywhere by StatementSnap? No, conversion happens in your browser. YNAB itself sends the file you import to YNAB over an encrypted connection, as its help page describes.

Is my bank data uploaded?

No. The converter is JavaScript running in your browser tab. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

Which banks work?

Any bank that exports CSV. Dates, delimiters (comma, semicolon, tab), European number formats, separate debit/credit columns, headerless files and extra summary rows are handled, and you can override the column mapping.
