Rows are made-up examples. YNAB's help page says you can use separate Outflow and Inflow columns or one Amount column, and it does not state a required date format, so check the date preview in the import window.

How to fill it in

  1. Delete the example rows and keep the header row.
  2. Put one transaction on each row, with money out in Outflow and money in in Inflow (or use one Amount column).
  3. Save as CSV, then drag the file onto YNAB on a computer.
  4. In the Import Transactions window, check the column matches and the dates, use "Swap Inflow and Outflow" if they look reversed, then import.

FAQ

Is my bank data uploaded?

No. The converter is JavaScript running in your browser tab. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

Which banks work?

Any bank that exports CSV. Dates, delimiters (comma, semicolon, tab), European number formats, separate debit/credit columns, headerless files and extra summary rows are handled, and you can override the column mapping.

What about ambiguous dates like 03/04/2024?

If every date could be day-first or month-first, the tool warns you and lets you pick the order before downloading.

Is this affiliated with any bank, Intuit, Xero or YNAB?

No. Names are used only to describe which file layout or import format is meant.
